This award is designed to recognise employers that have implemented an effective change to pensions in their organisation. Peel Ports Group stood out in a strong category. The judges were impressed by the clear passion and dedication of its team as it undertook a massive change project to streamline and revamp pensions provision. They felt that it had developed a strong strategy, and clearly identified and planned the challenges it faced, as it drove forward a completely new approach to pensions for the organisation.

The judges said: “This is clearly driven by a committed and passionate team, resulting in meaningful pensions provision for its people. It really understood its challenges and achieved good results. There’s a lot to be liked.”

The winner said: “We’ve worked really hard for this and have gone through a journey with HR at the centre. “I really think the benefits we offer are world class so pensions need to match up.”
